I originally posted this box accidentally as Pork - Box 25. Then everyone judged it as PORK. The cook emailed me and said this is actually BRISKET. So please re-judge this box now as BRISKET. Thanks!
UPDATE as of 6/29/11:
Here is some background information on this entry which is extremely interesting. When the BBQ team submitted this entry, they said, "A friend of mine from another team told me that a judge told him that someone had turned in a pulled brisket. He said it was fantastic, but marked it down because it wasn't sliced."
Here are the actual judge APPEARANCE scores for this box from the real competition: 9, 7, 9, 9, 8, 8.
It would be interesting to see how the judges here would have scored this entry in a real-life situation. Food for thought, indeed! -- BBQ Critic
